Pastor Virgil C. Jones, Jr., a native of Jacksonville, Florida, breaks the word of God down to the mature and young generations with his “keep it real on fire approach.”   It is evident that Jones Jr.'s love for Christ is sincere ever since he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at the tender age of 13.  While a student at First Coast High School, Jones Jr. was recognized by both the Florida Times-Union newspaper and WJXT television news station for co-founding the school’s prayer group and witnessing team.  In 1997, Virgil Jones Jr. was united in marriage to the love of his life Lady LaStocia Drayton-Jones. Together the couple has three wonderful children:  Son, Virgil III and two daughters, Jaylen and Victoria.  He strives to spread the Word of God and live a holy lifestyle filled with integrity.  Jones Jr.'s motto is: “You only have one life to live and one time to live it so, we should live it to the glory of God.”

For years, he spread the gospel with his gift of rap while delivering the Word of God.  Jones Jr. released a gospel rap single in 1998 entitled, “I Make My Boast in the Lord”, produced by RSC Records. Several years later in 2003, Jones Jr. recorded “VJ the Messenger,” live at the Ritz Theater.  December 2013, the Lord inspired Jones Jr. to record the Chronicles, expounding upon his humble beginnings and love for Jesus Christ.  Locally and nationally, Jones Jr. preaches the word of God to the masses

• In 1999, Jones Jr. completed the Philippian Institute of Biblical Studies (PIBS) under the direction of the late Bishop Lawrence C. Callahan, Sr. 
•  In 2005,  he was ordained a Minister at his home church, the Philippian Community Church in Jacksonville, Florida. 
• In 2008, he was ordained an Elder.  
• In November 2013, he was elevated to the office of Co-Pastor to serve alongside his father, Bishop Virgil C. Jones, Sr. and mother First Lady, Elder Mary Jones.  
  
  

At Philippian, Jones Jr. founded Jesus Over Everything (J.O.E.), a youth and young adult ministry, which is designed to provide young people with the tools to become spiritually connected to God. He was also a Sunday School Teacher for young adults and actively ministers at the Baker County Correctional Facilities and other youth detention centers.  

Other accomplishments outside of Philippian , Jones Jr. has ministered and performed at the UNF Gospel Fest, Ex-Men Ministries; “Cynthia / Friends,” which aired on BET and taped in Atlanta, Georgia. He co-hosted a Christian radio show called, “Change For Christ,” a Q&A segment based in Babylon, New York.
